This agreement

This agreement is between Gelhaus Solutions, as Tier 0 of GOpenCNR, and every member who joins GOpenCNR while its invite-only beta runs, the founding members included. It applies in addition to the GOpenCNR terms, the acceptable use policy and the network participation agreement. Where it differs from them, it wins for as long as the beta lasts.

What the beta is

The beta is GOpenCNR opened by invitation. Members join on an invitation that names a member, or Tier 0, who vouches for them. Every part of GOpenCNR is open to beta members, and everything in the GOpenCNR terms applies from the first day, except where this agreement says otherwise.

No service level

Nothing in the beta is a promise. No service level applies: no availability, capacity, response time or restoration time is owed, whatever the status page, the network map or anybody says.

Resets and renumbering

Registry data and allocations may be reset or renumbered during the beta. Allocations, ASNs, routes, endpoints, reverse zones and other registry objects may be changed, reset, renumbered or removed, all at once if need be.

Before we do that, we tell every member it affects by email, at the address of their account, and the change is recorded in the transparency log. In an emergency, in one of the cases where the general terms of service let us act first, such as an attack on the network or on others, we act first, and you are told no later than when the change takes effect. A reset never removes an entry from the transparency log: the history stays, and the reset shows in it as a change of its own.

Where a renumbering needs something from you, such as new configurations for your devices or for a router with a generated configuration, the notice says what.

Features may change

Features may be added, changed, moved or withdrawn during the beta, in the portal, the command-line tools and the API alike.

Feedback

Tell us what works and what does not, in the portal, in GOpenCNR's community channels or at contact@gplatform.org.

What you give us as feedback may be used freely to improve GOpenCNR. You grant Gelhaus Solutions a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, permanent and irrevocable right to use it, change it and build on it, without naming you or paying you. Feedback is not confidential unless you mark it as confidential when you give it. Feedback you mark confidential we keep to ourselves, and may still use to improve GOpenCNR. What you post in a community channel is seen by everybody in it.

Confidentiality

During the beta you may be shown things marked confidential, such as unreleased features, documents or plans. Keep what is marked confidential to yourself, use it only to take part in the beta, and do not publish it or pass it on, until we publish it ourselves or tell you that it is no longer confidential. This does not apply to what is public without a breach on your part, what you already knew, what you developed independently, or what the law requires you to disclose.

This clause is about the beta. Closed prefixes, audiences and other members' endpoints are protected by the acceptable use policy and the network participation agreement, whether or not anything is marked.

Your acceptance is recorded

You accept this agreement when you join during the beta. GOpenCSR records your consent against the version you accepted, by its identifier in the document archive, as it does for the terms.

When the beta ends

This agreement ends when the beta ends. From then on, the GOpenCNR terms, the acceptable use policy and the network participation agreement alone apply. The right to use feedback you gave, and your duty to keep confidential what you were shown as confidential, continue after the end.

You may leave the beta at any time by ending your membership, as the GOpenCNR terms describe.

Everything else

Everything this agreement does not address is as in the GOpenCNR terms. Taking part is free of charge. Warranty and liability are as set out in the general terms of service, and for what is given away, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence (Section 521 BGB). This agreement changes only as the general terms set out under "New versions of these terms": a material change is emailed to your address at least six weeks before it takes effect, and at your next sign-in you are asked to accept the new version, which is shown to you in full and linked in the document archive, without a list of what changed. A new version applies to you only once you accept it. What applies if you have not accepted it when the six weeks are over is set out in the GOpenCNR terms, under "Your content, your account and these clauses". Every version stays in the document archive.
