YAGPDB terms
MIT, run by us for any Discord server that adds it, and what you take on when you add it.
This version is not in force. It has been frozen and has no date yet, so it binds nobody.
What this covers
Our public instance of YAGPDB, the bot your server adds and the dashboard at bot.ennogelhaus.de. These sit alongside the general terms of service, which apply when you add the bot to a server.
It is not a GHub product and does not run on GPlatform. We host it, and it is licensed on its own terms.
Licence
YAGPDB is by botlabs-gg and licensed under the MIT licence. We run it as published. You may run your own instance under the same licence.
When you add it to your server
You are the controller of what it records about your members, and we are your processor: the data processing agreement and its annex apply.
What it records depends on what you switch on. Message logs, nickname history, warnings, verification and reputation are records about identifiable people; switch on what your server needs.
Your server's data is kept while your server uses the bot, and deleted 30 days after the bot leaves it. Message logs are deleted 30 days after they were saved, whatever happens to the server.
Tell your members
Your members did not agree anything with us. Point them at the privacy notice; it is written for them. Discord's own terms and developer policy apply to you as well and come from Discord, not from us.
Acceptable use
Beyond the general terms: do not use the bot's logs and histories to track people across servers or to build a record of a community beyond what moderating it needs.
Availability
No service level is promised. Discord's API is outside our control, and we may remove the bot from a server that breaks these terms or the general terms.
What you can take with you
When you switch to another provider under the general terms, or at any time before, you can take the following with you. The list is exhaustive; our switching page describes the formats and every limit we know of.
- your server's configuration: the settings of every feature you switched on, custom commands and their groups, role menus, automod rules, feeds and timers;
- moderation records: warnings, mutes, automod hits, the commands members ran, and the log of changes made in the dashboard;
- the message logs still held, nickname history, reputation with its log, verification records, tickets, reminders and event sign-ups;
- data your custom commands stored, sounds you uploaded, and your server's statistics;
- anything else you or your users put into our YAGPDB instance or generated by using it, with its metadata.
How. We hand it over as JSON when you ask. A server's data is deleted 30 days after the bot leaves it, so ask before you remove the bot.
Formats. JSON; uploaded sounds in their original format.
What stays behind. Only the bot's token and keys, dashboard session secrets, premium codes, and our internal database identifiers. Leaving these behind never delays or prevents a switch.
No warranty, no service level, and limited liability
This service is provided free of charge, as it is and as it happens to be available, without warranty of any kind. Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence (Section 521 BGB). The limits that mandatory law requires are set out in full in the general terms of service.
