What this covers

GPlatform Billing is the service that takes payment for everything in the family: the self-hosted G-Apps, the ones we host, the standalone GPlatform products, and GControl itself.

It is not offered for you to run and there is no self-hosted version of it. These sit alongside the general terms of service, and the terms of the product you are paying for apply to that product.

Your account

An account here is separate from a GPlatform Control account, deliberately: a customer of a standalone cloud product should not have to register with a control plane they never touch.

An organisation holds the subscriptions. People you add to it act under one of three roles — one who may cancel and change the payment method, one who may change the plan and the quantity, and one who may only read the invoices and the usage. There is always exactly one owner.

You are responsible for who you add, for removing them when they leave, and for what they do with what you gave them.

There is no second factor on this service yet. We would rather say so than let you assume otherwise: this side holds no card data, but it does hold the ability to change what you are charged. Use a password you use nowhere else.

Prices and currency

You buy in one currency. The choice is yours and it is recorded rather than guessed — but a subscription is denominated in one currency and cannot change, so from the first purchase the subscription decides and the stored choice is only a record of what was picked before it.

A plan not priced in your currency is reported as not offered in it, together with the currencies it is offered in. Nothing is converted for you at a rate we invented.

A price is retired rather than deleted. Retiring stops it being sold and leaves every existing subscription that points at it working on the terms it was bought on.

What you are entitled to is decided elsewhere

Paying for a tier here does not by itself grant anything. The grant is resolved by GPlatform Control, by the same code that resolves a licence, and delivered to your instance as a signed lease.

The practical consequence is worth stating: if a payment succeeds and the grant cannot be written, you are paying for something you do not yet have. That state is recorded rather than hidden, and it is ours to resolve. Tell us if you see it.

Usage-based charges

Where a price is metered, you are charged for what an application reported it used, per meter and per UTC day. What is metered is a quantity — end users an application can see, running deployments, or brokered sites — and it is counted on your side and reported as a number.

A day built from too few readings is flagged and still charged. Flagged days undercount rather than overcount, so this can only ever be in your favour; if a total looks wrong, ask, and a correction is made as a credit note.

Corrections are additive. There is no editing of a day already reported.

Trials, dunning and lapsing

Where a payment fails we will retry and tell you. That period is dunning, and it is not a cancellation.

If it ends without payment, the subscription lapses. Lapsing downgrades you to the free tier and takes nothing away that already exists. A cap refuses the next thing; it does not withdraw the last one. What stops is what the paid tier was adding.

Cancelling is yours to do at any time, and takes effect as the plan says.

Tax

Gelhaus Solutions is the merchant of record. German VAT applies, and EU One Stop Shop applies for sales into other member states, so the rate is decided by where you are. Keeping your billing address correct is your responsibility and it changes what you are charged.

Where you give a VAT identifier from another member state and it verifies, the sale moves to B2B reverse charge and the tax line goes to zero.

Verification is asynchronous. It is checked against the national registers after it is accepted, which means a status can change to unverified minutes or hours later — after a purchase has already happened. Where that occurs, the sale was not a reverse charge sale, and the tax that should have been charged is charged. That is not a penalty and it is not discretionary; it is what the identifier turning out to be wrong means.

Refunds

Statutory rights are unaffected. If you are a consumer you have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, and it is set out in full, with the model form and with the one consent that ends it early, on the withdrawal page.

Beyond those: where we withdraw or discontinue a paid service, unused prepaid fees are refunded pro rata. Metered charges already incurred are for usage that happened and are not refundable on that basis alone.

Suspension

Access may be suspended where a subscription lapses, where use is unlawful, or where it is causing damage. Suspension stops the service; it does not delete your data, and the deletion terms in the data processing agreement apply if the arrangement ends.

Records we must keep

Invoices and the accounting records behind them are kept for ten years, because German tax law requires it (Sec. 147 AO, Sec. 14b UStG). A request to delete your account cannot reach them, and we would rather say that here than appear to promise otherwise.

No warranty, no service level, and limited liability

This product is provided as it is and as it happens to be available, without warranty of any kind, and is used at your own risk. No uptime, response time or restoration time is owed unless a separate signed agreement states one. Where it is provided free of charge, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence (Section 521 BGB).

To the fullest extent the law permits, we are not liable for damage arising from its use, its unavailability, or any loss of data — and keeping your own backups is your responsibility. The limits that mandatory law requires, the exclusions that apply within them, and the additional cap that applies to business customers are set out in full in the general terms of service, which govern this product and are not restated here.
